Hotel Management Agreements

National Company for Tourism Development

Bilal represented the National Company for Tourism Development in reviewing and negotiating hotel management agreements (“HMA”) for the management and operation of its three hotels, two five-star hotels and one four-star hotel located in Amman, Aqaba and Petra. Following extensive negotiations with different global giants, Bilal assisted the hotels’ owner in executing HMAs with Intercontinental Hotel and the Crowne Plaza Hotel.*

Aircraft Ownership Transaction

Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank

Represented Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (“CIB”) before Jordanian Civil Aviation Commission (“CARC”) to release mortgages placed on four aircrafts for transferring the ownership of these aircrafts from CIB to the national carrier of Jordan, Alia- the Royal Jordanian Airlines (“RJ”). In this transaction, Bilal has advised CIB on the required formalities and documentation for the transaction execution before CARC and has also drafted the transaction’s execution documentation.*

Study

Jordan Free and Development Zones Group

Ajloun cable car project is a tourism project representing the first cableway infrastructure in Jordan. In this project, Bilal led a legal team and drafted a detailed legal environment report to the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group, a government-owned company. This legal study (i) identified legal challenges and obstacles; (ii) provided a clear description of stakeholders’ rights and obligations; and (iii) suggested practical legal solutions to overcome hindrances and meet the legal requirements for launching the national cableway touristic project.*
